Pride and Prejudice
Larry Elliott is a meticulous artist, carefully planning every detail of his intricate oil paintings. Along with his signature, all of his paintings contain Hebrew characters that allude to deeper meanings within Larry's art.
While Larry was still quite young, his talent as a pianist became obvious to those around him and he was encouraged to continue playing. By the age of sixteen he was soloing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and studying with world renown piano masters. During this period, Larry also spent time refining his talents as a painter. Though largely self-taught, he is thankful for the wisdom and insights of his mentors along the way. Each painting by Larry Elliott is carefully planned and meticulously executed. His characteristically detailed style lures the viewer deep into the image where many of Larry's personal philosophies and religious convictions are often revealed. There is a striking diversity among the complex subjects he chooses to paint; however, all are rich in symbolism and exhibit amazing compositional balance. To this day, Larry remains devoted to his art both as a painter and as a pianist. It is his dream to share his passions with the world and to make art more accessible. Towards that end, Larry is pleased to have his work now appear on puzzles in addition to traditional prints and original canvases. Larry also enjoys giving private piano lessons from his studio in Madison, Wisconsin. For contact information and more about Larry's passions, please visit his website.
