Image Resolution Standards

Depending on the size of the puzzle ordered, either 13 inches by 19 inches for 300 piece puzzles or 10 inches by 13 inches for 108 piece puzzles, the digital image must have enough detail to allow for the enlargement of your image.  We have the best results with images saved at 300 dpi.  However, if your image is already the right size, a lower resolution produces acceptable results.

For instance, many digital cameras save pictures at 72 dpi, which is unusable if the original is only 4 inches by 6 inches; the blown up image is unacceptably grainy and distorted.  But, if the image is at least 13 inches by 19 inches and looks fine at 72 dpi, then the puzzle will look fine.

To send an image, that meets these requirements, via email, please save your image as either a .JPG or .TIF file.  This can be done under the file menu of your picture viewer, using the "save as" feature.  In an email to custompuzzle@metrocast.net send your image as an attachment.  In the body of your email, please include your name, address, and order number so that we may match your image to your order.
