This delicately inlaid secret box is crafted in the ancient Japanese tradition, still made only in the Hakone area of Japan. Made by hand with Katsura wood, the lid is stamped with the artisan's name. To solve this puzzle and open the box you must slide the panels in exactly the right sequence; there are 27 steps in all! This puzzle is as difficult as it is beautiful.
When closed the "4 Sun 27 Step Akaasa" secret box measures 3 1/8 inches X 4 5/8 inches X 2 3/16 inches.
